Help
us earn CASH from your old cell phones and ink cartridges.
It's easy!
Through a recycling
company
called The FundingFactory, St. Victor has been recycling printer
cartridges and cell phones for cash. This program is free and
easy, but it won't work without your support.
In order to help out,
you simply need to donate empty laser and inkjet cartridges. These
cartridges can be from printers, fax machines, and even desktop
copiers. Do you have a cell phone or two lying around and you
wonder what to do with them? Send them to school and we'll recycle
them.
By recycling these cartridges
and phones through FundingFactory, we earn points. We can use these
points to buy hardware, software or equipment for PE. Recently we
earned three digital cameras for the teachers and students to
use.
If we choose, we can also turn
the points into cash. At the beginning of the year our points
were turned into cash to purchase a lab license for the new KidPix X
program.
PLEASE NOTE:We only recycle cell phone batteries
if it comes with the phone. We do not accept nor recycle
broken cell phones or the batteries, chargers, or the documentation
that comes with cell phones.
So where do I bring the cartridges or
cell phones?
You can donate your empty
cartridges or old cell phones by bringing them into the school office
and leaving
them on the bench.
If you have questions
regarding this program, you can check out the FundingFactory website
by clicking the logo above or email the coordinator,
at E-mail.
Do you work for a big company or one that
uses a lot of cartridges?
There is a way where
your company can "adopt" St. Victor's School. Boxes
with shipping labels can be sent to your company and all you'd
need to do is fill the boxes, seal them, and send them. There
would be no need to bring the cartridges or cell phones to school.
St. Victor's will get extra points for all businesses that adopt
us. For more information about the Business Support Program please
contact a FundingFactory Customer Service Representative toll
free at 1.888.883.8237 or you can contact Mr. Hinkle.
A big thank you to Symmetricom and most recently, Laser Scope, who adopted us.
Can you
help, too?
Thank you for your
support.
